Hello and welcome to Stu’s blog in Convene.
Do you feel like the forces of evil are winning too much? Do you wonder where the power of God is to push back the darkness and bring in His light? Do you find prayer dull and one-sided? Or perhaps you have found yourself in a fight with evil and wondered where others are that could help? Have you heard God calling to you, and yet have no idea how to stand? What does it mean to take up your place on the battlefield? Or maybe you are wondering if anyone else takes the Word of God seriously?
Where can you turn to connect with people that you can ask these and other questions? Where can you go to find like-minded folks that share your desire to seek the face of God? Where can you find and interact, even build relationships with people that desire to take God seriously?
You can find all that and more within Convene.
Convene, or "call a meeting", is for a somewhat serious purpose. What more serious purpose to convene could there be but to meet together with those like-minded people that Jesus has called out of darkness to find ways to combat the forces of evil that have resurged into everyday life. Convene allows us to meet regardless of geography, weather, time-zone, and even language barriers. Within Convene, we can also be outside of the monitoring that governments and big-tech are performing on virtually every other cyber space.
Why am I starting into Convene? Because I feel God is calling many of us to step up, and step out and stand for Jesus, and to 10 Finally, grow powerful in union with the Lord, in union with his mighty strength! 11 Use all the armor and weaponry that God provides, so that you will be able to stand against the deceptive tactics of the Adversary. 12 For we are not struggling against human beings, but against the rulers, authorities and cosmic powers governing this darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realm. 13 So take up every piece of war equipment God provides; so that when the evil day comes, you will be able to resist; and when the battle is won, you will still be standing. (Ephesians 6:10-13)
