Do you find the idea of spiritual armor and warfare intriguing, though not in the way the world typically thinks of them?
If we step back a bit and think about the things that God has shown us, it seems that we may need to understand some even deeper things. God gives us armor, and yet does not want us wandering onto the battle field without Him.
Do you see Him seeking followers that rely on Him? Does God need any more loose cannons?
I remember when I was begging God to send me. Make me a missionary, send me where ever You want!
His response was rather sobering. He said, “Until you can Sit, Wait, Listen, and Follow… I don’t have much use for you.
Ouch! Those are the 4 hardest things for me to do!! Most of them don’t seem to have any action involved at all… at least not at first glance. Yet does there seem to be a bit of wisdom in what He was saying?
Why would He want someone to do those things?
- Sitting… that implies being still
- Waiting… that implies being patient
- Following… that implies do what He said to do, even if it makes no sense at the time.
Have you ever done these things? How easy was it to do? What happened as a result?
I know I have seen God move when I have done these things. Have you?
